For the safety of our workers

Protect your people and prevent explosions with certified equipment! Every day we want to go to work feeling safe in our jobs. We expect our employers to create an environment in which we can thrive and get the best out of what we are capable of, without worrying about our own safety. But how can egg producers act on that?

For egg producers, their own operator safety must be on top of the agenda. Protecting and potentially saving lives in production environments starts with choosing equipment that fulfills common legislations and standards for health and safety.

Spray drying is a part of liquid egg processing and poses a special risk. During the process dust is produced in a chamber with high temperatures, resulting in a risk of explosion under ideal circumstances. Often, these ideal circumstances are unpredictable, and sometimes very little is necessary for an explosion to occur – the right concentration of dust, turbulences, a source of ignition, or spontaneous combustion. This is calling for egg producers to use equipment that is considering all preventive measures that can be taken to avoid explosions.

The SANOVO Spray Dryer is designed and constructed to comply with this examination certificate.

ATEX type-examination certificate

SANOVO's Spray Box Dryer has an ATEX type-examination certificate to ensure compliance with all legislation and standards. Since all spray drying equipment installed in the EU must follow the defined directives, with the type-examination we ensure that the equipment at our customers’ sites is compliant. Naturally, as a global company our equipment also complies with legislations outside of the EU, like the United States and the Asian/Oceanian region. That provides a significant advantage for non-EU egg producers who export their products to the EU.

As equipment manufacturer, we are taking responsibility for the design and construction safety of the equipment*, while our customers as equipment owners take responsibility for the operation safety of their users** by following the safety directives. Only together and by following health and safety legislations we create safe environments for our people.

*For equipment manufacturers: ATEX-directive 2014/34/EU
**For equipment users: 1999/92/EC
