New possibilities for production planning
With a need for higher production capacity to accommodate the increasing demand, Les OEufs Geslin decided to invest in a new breaking and separation line. With no immediate preference for a equipment supplier, all possibilities had to be tested to find the most suitable production line. The following basic criteria were decisive for choosing the equipment:
- Increase the breaking capacity
- Excellent quality of separation
- Better separation rate
"Most suppliers in the market could help us to obtain the required capacity, but as far as quality of separation and increasing the separation rate were concerned, the SANOVO OptiLine stood out as far more convincing. The new SANOVO OptiLine was delivered and installed according to schedule, and, after a thorough introduction for our staff, the plant was up and running without affecting our production plan – initially."
After seven months of running production on the SANOVO OptiLine, it is conclusive that 'the three criteria have been fully achieved,' says Denis Geslin. 'As a matter of fact, the separation rate was improved to the degree that now we need fewer eggs to achieve an equivalent quantity of egg white and yolk, compared to the old machine.
