Launch World's Earliest Non-Invasive In-Ovo Egg Sexing Technology at IPPE 2027

MISSISSAUGA, September 28, 2026 – Chairman of the SANOVO TECHNOLOGY GROUP Thor Stadil and Group CEO Michael Midskov, Co-Chairs of Canadian Egg Technologies (CET) Roger Pelissero and Scott Helps, and Founder and CEO of MatrixSpec Solutions Dr. Michael Ngadi met with their respective technology and marketing teams in Odense, Denmark last week. The group discussed launching their day four (D4) non-destructive in-ovo egg sexing system at the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) in January 2027. Industry leaders attending IPPE 2027 will be able to see the technology up close and learn more about it from the team behind it. This Canadian technology is the only commercial in-ovo sexing system designed to advance from early-incubation (D4) sex detection to pre-incubation (D0) sexing. At IPPE, attendees will learn how the hatchery-ready, cutting-edge equipment easily integrates into existing hatchery operations of any size and importantly, how the system will seamlessly advance from D4 to pre-incubation sexing (D0) through a platform upgrade without requiring significant further capital expenditure.

The SANOVO, CET and MatrixSpec Solutions hyperspectral imaging technology currently enables accurate, non-destructive sex determination as early as D4 of incubation. The system is hatchery-validated, cost-effective and designed to scale across operations of all sizes – from independent hatcheries to large facilities. This transformative solution is designed to integrate seamlessly into existing processes by leveraging equipment commonly found in hatcheries worldwide.

Why it Matters
