Mixing, blending and fermentation

A storage handling system stores the liquid egg product before any further processing takes place, e.g. pasteurisation, filling or spray drying.

As well as storing the egg liquid, the storage handling system is also used for:

  • Standardisation – mixing of different egg products to obtain a certain egg quality
  • Blending – adding salt, sugar, preservatives, etc.
  • pH-adjustment – adjustment of the pH value
  • Fermentation – removing glucose from the egg white prior to spray drying
  • Storage handling systems with various numbers and sizes of tanks, including the piping, the instruments, the valves and the heat exchanger for the system are operated manually or fully automatically.


Capacities from 1,200 up to 30,000 litres, which make it possible to meet any demand.
