Project Sierra Leone by Hummel

Sierra Leone is a country that has very tragic statistics - being the world’s poorest country, with one of the highest child mortality rates and lowest average life spans. hummel has decided to sponsor the national football team of Sierra Leone and is now in the process, together with Save the Children, of opening a range of football schools in the country using the national team players as role models and trainers.

The Green Roof Project by West-Star BV

In the THORNICO Group we also have a climate project, the GREEN ROOF PROJECT, at our sister company, West-Star BV in Rotterdam.

The Green Roof Project has turned the Westblaak-Building into a Green landmark for Rotterdam and even for the whole region. The aim is to create as much as possible a CO2 neutral “environment” and in that sense give a positive sign towards the whole market.
