Nisin is a natural preservative which has been used in the food industry for more than 50 years. Delvo® Plus produced by DSM Food Specialties is a product formulation based on active Nisin.
In liquid egg Delvo®Plus will prevent the growth of food poisoning spore forming bacteria, like Listeria monocytogenes and Bacillus cereus, of which typically 1% survives the pasteurization treatment.
