Two infeed rails support the egg trays as they are pushed through the process by a conveyor chain equipped with pusher lugs. As in the inoculator, the harvester operates on an Electric Servo Drive. The major stations of the harvester are:
The harvest needles withdraw the allantoic fluid from "accepted" eggs during the harvest cycle. Rejected eggs do not get harvested. The harvesting needles do not enter the rejected eggs and their vacuum supply remains "off" during the harvesting cycle. The harvester is equiped with its own vacuum system to provide the suction required to withdraw the allantoic fluid from the eggs.
Automatically removes the upper section of eggshells simultaneously creating an access hole for inspection of the interior and harvest needle entry. The decap station incorpoates a lift station and allows for deviation in the size of eggs up to +/- .2 inches.
Reject Station (Vision System)
This station is located on the machine or in a remote area away from the harvesting area. This system incorporates a touch screen monitor, camera and lighting. The decapped eggs are indexed below the light and camera. The operator rejects an egg by touching the screen.
Tray Infeed Station
Tray are introduced into the harvester manually. An optional infeed conveyor is available to automatically feed egg trays, eliminating the need for an infeed operator. A disinfecting station can alo be added to the conveyor.
Discharges the harvested egss from the trays following the harvest cycle. An optional grinder is available.
The main control box and control system is similar to the one for the inoculator.
Empty egg trays are manually removed from the machine. An optional conveyor systems is available.
